Here’s the breakdown of what we’ll be pouring…

The possible NEW wines: Estate Washington Pinot Gris, Estate Chilean Pinot Noir, Estate Sonoma Pinot Noir, Premier South Australian Shiraz, and the newest Premier Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon!! (Still deciding which 2 or 3…)

The Limited Editions: Chilean Carmenere-Cabernet, Australian Riesling, Pacific Quartet (only 4 left!), Sicilian Nero d’Avola-Shiraz, and Italian Brunello!!!

Plus, there will be a separate table with our new Bistro Blends Olive Oil Infusions and Balsamic Vinegars. A real treat!

We are proud to support our friends at Ma’o, a youth organic farm in Waianae, who are doing wonderful things for O’ahu youth. (click for more Ma’o here!) SO, If you love good food & good wine (ahem! we invite you to come down & check out this event on Sunday, September 2nd, which will be hosted by the wonderful crew at downtown (restaurant).

Seats are $125 and go towards great people and a great cause. Attached is the invite & sign-up form. (click here!)

MA’O is an energetic, youth-driven edu-agri-cultural initiative comprised of farm-to-school programs at Wai’anae Intermediate School, Wai’anae High School and at Leeward Community College. The youth of MA’O are creating and leading a culture and environment of excellence and enterprise.

new Glossy (Thermal) Labels

we got in a new label printer! though introduced several months ago, i just realized we hadn’t posted the size specifications on our website yet, so…

it is a professional commercial-grade label printer. it prints on to glossy label stock, with a UV- & water-resistant coating.

at this time, we only offer one size: 4″x3″. slightly rounded corners. other typical specs apply: it can still be oriented either portrait or landscape; recommended 200 pixels, jpg compression 10, and format ONLY either .JPG or .PDF.

Check it out! ‘Isla Tango’ (the Argentine tango dancers of Hawai’i) held another dance event here at WTX, & the night was featured by Honolulu Magazine! [See the picture & note here.]

Reduce.. Reuse.. Recycle.. your bottles!

Being the eco-friendly people we are, we have a new policy…
For our part, we would like to encourage you to do something - RECYCLING!
For One - do your part & bring those bottles & cans to your nearest recycling place. With or without the five cents!
For Two - if you are a past winemaker, re-use your old bottles for your next bottling! As an added incentive, if you do, we’ll give you a $10 credit towards your next barrel! (thats sure better than 5 cents a bottle!)

For Three - you are always welcome to recycle your wine bottles from us here with us anytime.

Stipulations… The bottles must be rinsed clean & the label stripped (simply soak the bottle for 5 minutes in hot water and it should easily come off!) No trash in the bottles please. There must be at least 2-cases / 24-bottles for the discount to apply. And try to only use our WTX bottles. Some standard commercial bottles might be ok, but others will not fit our corker & our foiler - so that is your chance. If you can drop off the bottles at least 1 week ahead, we can be sure to have them ready when you arrive.
