It Begins With A Taste

Our most important tool is a glass. Your journey begins here.

Wine-tasting. Why? What does that entail, exactly? What are you tasting? Could it be one or many of the following?

Oak. Raspberry. Vanilla. Caramel. Smoke. Spice. Melon. Orange. Citrus. Strawberry. Butter. Butterscotch. Chocolate. Bittersweet Chocolate. Clove. Earth. Mushroom. Grass. Minerals. Herbs. Capsicum. Blackberry. Cherry. Lime. Apricots. Lemon. Peaches. Watermelon. Pear. Mango. Apple. Red apples. Green apples. Black Pepper. White Pepper. Bell Pepper. Fig. Dates. Tobacco. Flowers. Lavenders. Violets. Roses. Honeydew. Lychee. Tangerine. Tamarind. Salt. Sweet.

Most people begin drinking wine as “what they like” as in, a certain color or grape or maybe even label. Beginners learn how to decipher different flavors and associate them with different wines. The “wine bug” is caught. Maybe they learn how to complement a dish with a nice wine pairing. Perhaps those pairings become ever so subtle and complex… Whether you are a novice wine drinker or a seasoned connoisseur, you will enjoy your Experience...

Sip. Think for a second. Enjoy. What did you learn? We want you to learn when you taste. We urge you to ask questions and want you to learn something new. We’d like to help fan a spark of interest, fuel a small passion, overall, in this small instance in your life, give you a gift of our Experience. Our Wine. Wine the Experience.

Reds

Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Syrah, Grenache, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Malbec. Red wines are usually fuller, heavier, drier, and meatier.

From a rare filet to a simple tomato sauce pasta, nothing goes better than a great glass of red wine. A glass or two a day is good for your heart.

Whites

Chardonnay, Riesling, White Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer. White wines are usually lighter and crisper to their red counterparts. Whites are also where some sweeter wines reside.

From seafood piccatta to a light leafy salad, white wine goes nicely. Whites won’t weigh you down and are perfect on a warm afternoon.

Aperitifs & Desserts

Port, Sherry, Ice wines. These are usually aperitifs and dessert-type wines. They are that extra lovely something that make a meal complete and memorable.
